Memorial Villages

Comprised of six independent villages, the Memorial Villages together represent some of Houston’s most prestigious communities. Known for quiet tree-lined streets and expansive lots, the Memorial Villages contain some of Houston’s largest and most desirable real estate.

Straddling Interstate 10 and extending passed Beltway 8 to the west and the 610 Loop to the east, each of these six in-demand communities enjoy convenient access to Downtown Houston and the upscale Galleria shopping district.

Bunker Hill is the westernmost of the Memorial Villages, lying close to the intersection of Interstate 10 and Beltway 8. This is the most densely wooded of the Memorial Villages, giving Bunker Hill’s residents a fabulous sense of privacy and seclusion.

Hedwig Village is situated east of Bunker Hill on the southern side of Interstate 10. Hedwig is the only Memorial Village to permit commercial zoning within its borders. Hedwig is subsequently a Memorial Village hub of shops, restaurants, cafes, and other businesses, including the Hedwig Village and Echo Lane shopping centers

Spring Valley Village is located on the north side of Interstate 10, directly north-west of Hedwig. Homes in Spring Valley are often more affordable than the other Memorial Villages, although they retain the large lots and privacy for which the area is famous.

Hilshire Village borders Spring Valley Village to the east, also on the north side of Interstate 10. Hilshire covers the smallest area of any of the Memorial Villages. It is also one of the most exclusive, with just over 700 residents and 300 homes. Hilshire’s per capita income is the 10th highest in Texas.

Hunters Creek Village sits across from Hilshire on the south side of Interstate 10. Hunters Creek is one of the largest Memorial Village communities, with over 6 miles of trails and paths within its borders. Hunters Creek is bordered to the south-east by the Houston Country Club.

Piney Point Village boasts the highest per capita income in Texas and some of the Memorial Village’s most impressive properties. Piney Point’s palatial multi-million dollar homes are on lots that can reach as much as 160,000 square foot in size. Piney Point is bordered by Hunters Creek to the west, Hedwig to the north, and Bunker Hill to the east.

Each of the six Memorial Villages are known for grand properties situated on expansive lots. Lot sizes are among the biggest in the area around Houston. Homes are also among the Houston area’s grandest, with everything from traditional Texan ranch houses to English country manors.

Each of the Memorial Villages is a completely self-contained community, with most being incorporated as cities. Many consequently operate their own police forces, which helps the Memorial Villages rank high among Texas’s safest communities.

Families within these affluent communities enjoy access to outstanding local schools, with numerous award-winning and National Blue Ribbon schools operating within the area.
